Workshops – Home Developing, Cyanotypes, and Caffenol
Silverpan Lab will be running a workshop on both days to guide attendees through the process of developing film at home. This workshop is perfect for beginners, as well as anyone looking to refine their technique or ask questions to the experts. As I can attest, even if you know how to develop at home, there are always neat tips and tricks to pick up on. This workshop is included in the ticket price. Learn more about Silverpan Lab here.
Rachel from Little Vintage Photography will be leading a drop-in cyanotype workshop where you can learn about working with this medium but also make something for yourself to take home. An extra fee may be charged to cover the cost of materials for take-home participants. See more of Rachel’s work here.
Leicester Lo-Fi, a community darkroom running since 2011, will be there running a drop-in Caffenol developing workshop. Learn how to develop black-and-white film more sustainably! An extra fee may be charged to cover the cost of materials for participants. Learn more about Leicester Lo-Fi here.
Photowalks – Explore the creative heart of Nottingham
A photowalk will run each day and up for grabs will be limited supplies of film provided by one of the sponsors of the event, Kodak! Kodak will be sponsoring the photowalks hosted by local area experts LensFayre (Sunday) and Make It Easy (Saturday). The walk will explore Nottingham’s coolest spots and is the perfect opportunity to put into practice the things you’ve learned, the ideas you’ve had…and maybe the new gear you’ve picked up from our Analogue Trader/Exhibitor Market. LensFayre and Make It Easy are both based in Nottingham so who better to show you around!
Singles Meet & Greet
If you are attending the event by yourself and don’t know anyone, this is a perfect opportunity to make new friends! Based on feedback received last year, Analogue Spotlight is creating a space for those who don’t know anyone else attending and would like to meet new people. Led by Analogue Spotlight’s Holly Gilman (Analogue Holly)!
