Just a note to say that I, like many people, have finally completely ditched Twitter in favour of Bluesky. I joined Bluesky sometime ago now, but whilst it was in its testing phase it was a little quiet. Now it’s open for anyone to join any time, it seems to be picking up. In fact, in the last month or so it really seems to have come alive with photography folk, and whilst I mostly just use it to post the daily posts, it definitely has that welcoming and friendly feel that Twitter used to have.
In short, if your feeling lost now twitter is horrible, join Bluesky and find me here: hamishgill.bsky.social

Many of my friends are migrating there—but I only ever tweeted once, so the loss of Twitter to me was no loss at all. My primary social is still Facebook, where I've curated a small, close group of old and new friends for personal, political and social issues, as well as joined numerous camera groups. As much as I despise all billionaire tech bros at this point, I still find Facebook very useful.
in any event, See you on Bluesky soon!

2. Bluesky has come under scrutiny from the European Commission for failing to meet transparency requirements under the Digital Services Act.
3. Bluesky is corporate-owned and for-profit. They are already talking about a subscription based model. (How long before the Elongated Muskrat buys it?)

I really enjoyed it when Trump won, priceless responses from usual suspects on the liberal side in the US.
I for one don’t vote and can’t stand any of them, being a long time Anarchist.
I doubt I’ll be using any other echo chamber (as Twitter has become)
