TTArtisan is releasing their 28mm f5.6 and 50mm f0.95 ASPH M-mount lenses in the luxurious colors of gold and titanium. As they would say in Wales, how lush! The company has created a variety of lenses for the m-mount system and now they will offer these limited color editions in the popular focal lengths of 28mm and 50mm.
The 28mm f5.6 comes in both the gold and titanium colors while the 50mm f0.95 is in titanium and silver at the time of writing. The lenses are natively compatible with M-mount bodies such as the Leica M2 through to the M10, M262, and M240. They are also compatible with other camera mounts that can use an adapter from the M-mount.
Earlier this year in June, Leica released a limited edition of their M-A camera with a titanium exterior, appropriately calling it the “Titan”. This was the sixth time Leica released a limited edition camera in titanium, a pattern which began with the M6 titanium version released in 2001. Titanium and gold have been popular looks and materials of the luxury camera market, giving cameras that exclusivity vibe. So, if you have a titanium or gold featured camera and are looking for matching lenses, or if you just like these colors for any design of camera, now you have two more options at a relatively more affordable level.
35mmc published a review of the 28mm f5.6 lenses which can be found here if you would like to read more about the TTArtisan lens in practice. There are three reviews in this article by three different photographers so you won’t be short of material to assess the product.
For the 50mm f0.95 lens, Vincent Bihler wrote a review for 35mmc as well and shares his thoughts on using it both with film and digital cameras. Check it out here.
The 28mm f5.6 is priced at $398 and the 50mm f0.95 is at $755. They are available now in TTArtisan’s shop which can be found here.
