Since I banged on at some length about how I would likely only ever use my Voigtlander 50mm 1.1 for its function, ie in low light, I thought I would contradict myself and shoot some shallow depth of field colour photos in my well lit living room.
These were taken over the course of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We bought my daughter a bike for Christmas, she was, as you might expect, quite pleased. She is also obsessed with Frozen, or at least is obsessed with being Queen Elsa, which I hope helps explain the dress and crown…? 🙂
I think these photos go some way to showing that in good light this lens can be a wonderful thing. Though I should add, under these sorts of circumstances the 1m close focus does seem more of a hindrance.
Anyway, I shan’t bang on about the lens too much, if your interested you can find my more extensive thoughts on the Voigtlander 50mm 1.1 here.
Hope you had a good Christmas, ours was lovely!
Cheers for reading the 101st post on 35mmc! 🙂
