I have been an amateur photographer and have been taking pictures since my late 20's. After working as a chemist, a physics and chemistry teacher and a second career in computers as a programmer/analyst, I retired in 2011. I now occupies my time by: image and photo editing (GIMP/Paint.NET/Photo Gallery/darktable) and audio and video editing (AVS4YOU suite/Audacity).
Since May 2024, I have taken up amateur astronomy. I'm also learning prime astrophotography, which is taking photos with my Canon 60D DSLR using an Omni XLT 150 (6 inch) reflector telescope.
Before the new cell phones, I had several 35mm film cameras, digital point & shoot cameras and eventually splurged for a DSLR. The two P&S models were a Panasonic DMC-LS...
